Ascend is sold exclusively to authorized Trek and Fisher dealers. Ascend is not offered to any other bicycle dealers or specialty retail segments.

Originally written by Leum Software Solutions for a local bike shop, Ascend was born in Wisconsin in 2001. In the Spring of 2004, Trek Bicycles acquired the exclusive license to sell Ascend to the independent bicycle retail market.

In March 2006, Trek acquired full ownership of the program and now manages all aspects of the software business including programming, installations, support and training.

Ascend is now in over 350 independent bicycle dealer store fronts.
