Summer’s calling

The signs of summer are becoming more apparent, and the changing seasons bring a few more changes for you. Read on to ensure you’re set up for an effortless summer of selling.

TCRM in-store catalogs: We’re trying something new for Trek Connect Retail Marketing this summer – in-store catalogs with the same great deals your preferred customers receive! Your top customers will still get a catalog mailed to them, but we’ll also send you a stack you can pass out to any of your other customers.

However, in order to accurately track this campaign, we’ve set up different coupon codes to use for the in-store catalogs. We’re using codes TCCAT2IN101617 (for the $10 coupon) and TCCAT2IN201617 (for the $20 coupon) – for full, step-by-step instructions, check our updated help topic.

Coupon Wizard: Speaking of coupons…coming in Summer 2017, we’re introducing the Coupon Wizard utility. When there are coupons that a number of retailers will need (e.g. Trek Connect Retail Marketing, recalls), the Ascend team will be able to create them in a central repository – then, all you’ll need to do is click Download, choose your coupons, and choose whether they should be pre-tax or post-tax! (Just remember – always check your local and state tax laws before you choose! You may be liable for paying sales tax even if you did not collect it from the customer.)

Trek Card changes: You may not notice, but there have been a few procedural changes for Trek Cards. As of May 1, 2017, Trek Financial Services will be taking a less active support role – but never fear, there’s still a team dedicated to helping you with whatever you need!

Comenity Bank will be taking care of full support for Trek Cards. Just call 866-662-6212 and follow the prompts to get to the appropriate team. Settlement reports have been moved from Dexter to the Comenity Business Center (CBC) portal – all existing Trek Card retailers received an email with the link and their individual login details.

Due to this shift, a few retailers also received a letter stating that they need to re-apply in order to continue processing Trek Cards after April 30, 2017. If you received this letter, submit your application ASAP so that you can continue to accept Trek Cards!

May deals: We’ve still got a few pieces of show hardware left over. We generally only use this hardware for a few days for demos during expos, so you can get great discounts on barely-used equipment. Quantities are quickly dwindling, so place your order today!
