Tis the season

The end of November is considered the beginning of the holiday season in the US. Are you ready for the gift-giving season? Make sure you know the upcoming Ascend support hours, are up-to-date on Promotions, and can confidently issue Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, and In-Store Credit.

Limited Support: The Ascend support line will be closed this Thursday and Friday, November 22nd and 23rd for Thanksgiving in the US. Emergency support will be available on Friday (November 23rd) from 8:00AM to 5:00PM CST for issues preventing sales.

Update to the TCRM Black Friday Promotion: If you use Trek Connect Retail Marketing, double-check your promotions! If you downloaded the Black Friday Promotion before today (Tuesday, November 20th), you will need to re-do the download due to price changes.  To do this, follow these instructions:

Other holiday Promotions: Tis the season for deals and discounts! Customers are going to be shopping around to see where they can find the best deals on great products, so it’s a great time to run different promotions. Take some time to get comfortable creating new Promotions in Ascend.

Maybe you want to run a special promotion for a specific group of customers, like your riding group or your top 50 customers so far this year. Take a few minutes to watch  this video on Customer Groups and group promotions. We also have a great article to help you find your top customers!

The gift that keeps on giving: Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, and In-Store Credit are great options for customers who know their loved one wants or can use new equipment, updated apparel, a rental, or more, but isn’t confident they will pick out the right item for that person. Take off some the pressure and suggest the gift of a Gift Card, Gift Certificate, or In-Store Credit.

Just remember – Gift Certificates and In-Store Credit need to be associated to the customer account for the person receiving the gift, not the person buying it! Refresh your memory today and check out this video on Gift Certificates or this one on In-Store Credit.

If you are integrated with Gift Cards (the plastic cards you swipe like a credit or debit card), the sale can be associated with the gift-giver, since the balance is recorded on the card and not in Ascend. And yes, there’s also a video for this one!
