Worth the Wait
In case you missed last week’s post, we’ve started to roll out the Spring 2016 version of Ascend to select retailers. Wondering why you haven’t seen the alert to update yet? Well, to make things as simple as possible for you and your team, we’ve broken the release into several “waves.” And yes – EMV IS (almost) HERE!
Spring 2016 Release: If you’re a single location and don’t use integrated credit or debit card processing, you can update immediately. If you’re integrated and have already enabled end-to-end encryption on your account with Chase Paymentech™, your update will be available the week of April 11, and will include the ability to accept EMV (chip) card payments. If you haven’t enabled end-to-end encryption, make sure you complete the steps to get started so that you’re ready as soon as we are.
If you’re a multi-store retailer, your update schedule follows this same timeline – however, your primary location is required to update first. That means that your secondary locations won’t receive the update alert until we’ve seen that the primary has successfully completed their update (usually within one business day).
April Hardware Sales: Still need the right hardware to accept EMV-capable cards? Getting ready to install a new checkout station? For a limited time, get the Ingenico ISC250 payment terminal for a discounted price of $700. You can even include a stand for just $50 more. Contact the Support Team or email firstname.lastname@example.org to order yours today.
Simplified Ingenico Calibration: Is your Ingenico ISC250 payment terminal making your customers play Whack-A-Mole? Does the manual calibration process feel like a video game combo move that you have to get juuuust right? With Spring 2016, you can put your terminal back in its place just by clicking Options > Payment Processing > Pinpad Setup > Calibrate.
No need to call Support and no more confusing menu options. A few simple clicks will ensure that your devices are accurately calibrated for digital input.
Get More from AOR: Spring 2016 brings several new reports in Ascend Online Reports (AOR). In fact, they’re available now, regardless of whether or not you’ve updated your Ascend client!
